About Me

My photo
St. George, Utah, United States
I'm just a woman with a camera, having an outrageous time! I carry my camera like most women carry a hand-bag. I especially like (and see) beauty in forgotten things. I love OLD buildings, rusty vehicles, fences and posts and details. When I’m photographing people, I love: natural expressions. relationships. simplicity. smiles. emotion. sweetness. laughter. shyness. grumpy frowns. silly giggles. stubborness. bare feet and a neat personality that just shines.

VINTAGE GIRLS

"We are born at a given moment,
in a given place and like
vintage years of wine,
 we have the qualities
of the year and of the season of which
we are born." ~ Carl Gustav Jung ~

Here are some shots of Cassidy and Sheridan. I tweeked them just a little, to
give them a  VINTAGE feel.
I kinda like how they turned out and wanted to share ...

TEENY-BOPPER FUN

 "Teenage girls:  they all have
their insecurities, but for the most part,
they have a very healthy self-esteem ..."

Last week's BACK TO SCHOOL photo shoot with a couple of teeny-bopper girls was just hilariously FUN!!
This is Cassidy and Sheridan.
I found a killer location; an old abandoned pink & blue trailer and also an old school yard that I thought would help create some great photo's of the girls.
The three of us had a blast until we ran out of good light.
These two are excited for 9th grade  ...  LOOK OUT High School!!
I can't wait to do another photo shoot with these two; hopefully soon!!
THANKS for the fun time girls ...
Cassidy and those blue, blue eyes!

just a little 'sassy'

Little RUNAWAY

"Never run away from anything ... never!!"
 ~ winston churchill ~

My granddaughter, Emma is really good at role-playing; I guess most 7 year old girls are!!
So, after a fun time playing in the creek with her brother (for another photo shoot), I took advantage of her  looking just a bit ragged and asked her to PRETEND she was "running away" so I could snap a few pictures  in a great nearby tunnel that runs under the freeway.  Her eyes got real big and I could just see her little brain ticking away!
It was FUN . . .  and EASY!!  (I honestly didn't even have to tell the girl what to DO!)  She did a GREAT job; she kept a serious, somber face the whole time and totally stayed in her character.  Between that and my editing, I think it turned out kinda believable!  Do I have fun, or what?   Emma ... you're my little *STAR*!

Oh, LOVE!!

"When you fall in love, it is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake, and then it subsides. And when it subsides, you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots are become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part."

The last time I was in Salt Lake City, my son Levi, his girlfriend Lindsay and I  went for a very relaxing walk in  City Creek Canyon, near the river.  The temperature was perfect ... the scenery was perfect ... the two of them are crazy about each other and  ... I had my trusty photo-machine.  SO ...  How could I resist!!? It was GREAT FUN ... ALWAYS IS!!! Until NEXT TIME ...  Thanks guys!

Just a little "vintage" editing
