"A man without a wife is
like a vase without flowers."
~ African Proverb ~
In September I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding for a couple from Cedar City (50 miles from where i live). I didn't know them and they heard about me from someone so I was pretty jazzed to think that my names getting out there in the photography world! Slow but sure.
The wedding took place at Woods Ranch, up Cedar Canyon. Because of rain and the threat of more during the day, the ceremony was moved into the Pavillion and didn't take place in the meadow as originally planned but, nevertheless, it all turned out just lovely.
I got to meet a lot of people I didn't already know and some outrageously cute kids!! I learned what a real day-long photo shoot is all about and I took lots of mental notes to myself for the future. Although challenging and tiring at the end of the day, I'm very thankful for the opportunity and the things I learned to improve my next wedding experience.
A girl's gotta start somewhere!! This was MY FIRST PAID wedding.
Thanks Jaimie & B.J. I hope you like your photo's and I wish you a life of wedded bliss!
